A mistrial's ended the murder case against 19-year old Charles Thompson. A judge ended proceedings after the jury was shown part of a videotaped police interview with Thompson that was supposed to have been edited to remove references to an earlier incident investigated in Michigan. It hadn't been edited. KCCI reports prosecutors are expected to try Thompson again for the 2009 murder of an Iowa City landlord.
