A Des Moines police officer, charged with domestic assault with injury, can seek employment elsewhere. The Des Moines Police Department fired Stewart Drake yesterday. The 21-year veteran had been on administrative leave since being charged in June. The Des Moines Register reports the alleged incident involved Melissa Winter, who'd moved back in with him, and reported a conversation between them turned physical.
