If you think you're in debt to the IRS, how 'bout this guy: James Watts of Bettendorf owes the government more than 30 million dollars in federal taxes. The Press-Citizen reports that Watts owes a bunch of wast management companies, and that he has not paid federal employment and unemployment taxes. He withheld them from his employees' paychecks, but didn't pay them to the IRS. Watts' attorney made no comment to the newspaper, but court documents indicate that the back taxes are owed from companies in which he was involved, but that are now nonexistent.
