Microsoft and Alcoa Seeking State Incentives for Expansion

Details aren't in yet, but Microsoft, Alcoa, and Heinz are among the companies expected to ask the state for financial incentives to help them pay for expansion plans. Those incentives could be tax credits, grants, or loans. The Des Moines Register reports Microsoft's building a new data center in West Des Moines, with 25 jobs; and Alcoa's planning to add 80-people at a Quad Cities plant.
