Sunday is the interfaith Blessing of the Animals at the Biddell Shelter at Raccoon River Park in West Des Moines. It starts at 1p.m. and is sponsored by The Pet Project Midwest. Organizers have a few requests: Only well-behaved animals on a leash or in a carrier, a maximum two animals per person over the age of 18.One pet per for kids 13 to 18 years old. Animals must be under the control of their human at all times, and be at least six months old, spayed or neutered.
