The University of Iowa has a one million dollar commitment for an undergrad writing center. It will be named for the late Frank N Magid -- the Frank N. Magid Undergraduate Writing Center. he received his bachelors and master's degrees from the university, and then taught there, and his wife Marilyn gave the funds to the university's college of Liberal Arts to establish the center.
