A former Fort Dodge police officer said he did not do it. The Messenger in Fort Dodge reports that 46-year-old Galen Hindt pleaded not guilty to sexual assault and extortion. he's accused of the crime against a woman last April and resigned from the department. The victim claims the two met at a bar, and when she wouldn't accompany him, she said Hindt threatened to arrest her for drunk driving. She said he then drove her to his apartment where he's accused of sexually assaulting her.
