There's a baby boom at Des Moines' Mercy Medical Center. Hospital officials tell KCCI for the second month in a row, birth's have topped the same month a year ago. Multiples were big in August, with 13-sets of twins and a set of triplets joining the party. There were 462 births at Mercy and Mercy West Lakes in August compared to 446 last August. The total on the year to date: 3,300.
