Sun Prairie Apartments in West Des Moines will go smoke free, after a fire at the complex has been traced back to a cigarette. It's Iowa's largest apartment complex with 41 buildings, and the move to go smoke free will impact 3000 residents. According to our news partners at KCCI, Sun Prairie said a 2008 survey of residents found 74 percent preferred living in a smoke-free building. They'll have the smoking ban in place by 2012.
