Drug Test For Welfare Plan Blocked

A legislature committee's said no to a plan to require people to pass a drug test before they're eligible for state welfare benefits. KCCI reports the proposal from republican Rep. Matt Windschitl, of Missouri Valley, was blocked by questions of cost and implementation. Windschitl says many people have to submit to drug tests as part of their jobs and it only makes sense to require welfare recipients to do the same.
