Nature Trail close to construction

Carlisle’s Scotch Ridge Nature Park committee has been fundraising for years, trying to get the money together for the new Carlisle Nature Trail Loop. Now it appears the project is within reach. Vision Iowa may start a new active fundraising campaign to raise the rest of the $3.69 million needed. The Carlisle Nature Trail Loop is a six-mile extension of the Summerset Trail that will interconnect the city’s major park and recreation areas and provide a future link to the Principal Riverwalk in Des Moines.
