Casino Smoking Ban Fails

The Iowa House today said no to a bill that would have offered incentives to casino's to ban smoking. The proposal would have allowed casinos to end a process where they must ask voters to approve their licenses every nine years but only if they prohibit all smoking. Under the proposal, after voters approve two consecutive renewals a third would not be needed if casinos were smoke free.
