West Des Moines Police Chief Jack O’Donnell's retiring next February. The city’s civil service commission will meet in the coming weeks to discuss how to replace O’Donnell. The Des Moines Register reports O’Donnell was hired as the West Des Moines police chief in 1998. He been a deputy chief with the Omaha police department.
