Attroney Wants Boy Tried as Juvenile

A hearing on the matter is set for the 20th of this month after an attorney in Kingsley questioned why 14 year old accused of shooting his stepbrother to death is in adult instead of juvenile court.
Attorney, John Polifka is asking the judge to deny the prosecution's request that his client be waived into adult court after the boy allegedly shot and killed his 17 year old stepbrother. The boy is charged with involuntary manslaughter and willful injury. The shooting happened on December 9. Polifka said if the boy were charged as a youthful offender, he could be rehabilitated or punishment when he reaches the age of maturity.
