USDA to Close Offices

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says it will close almost 260 offices and labs to save about 150 million dollars of its 145 billion dollar budget. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said that the agency has to quote "be better stewards of the taxpayers dollars". Those on the other side of the issue say they're concerned most about food safety in the wake of closing the offices.
