KCCI reports that fire officals said a home was a total loss and one person was hospitalized after a fire reported last night. Crews from three departments battled the house fire near Zearing and McCallsburg in Story County. When they got there, crews found the house engulfed,and now say a wood burning stove may have caused the fire. Two people were in the house at the time of the fire. One was taken to Ames with burns.
