Gov. Branstad's not saying if a Family Leader report, that he wants his title removed from the “Iowa Governor’s Conference on LGBTQ Youth” is true. The Des Moines Register reports a Family Leader official also says state agencies won't be part of the March 8th event. Iowa Safe Schools runs the conference and the goal is to protect kids and stop bullying that can lead to poor school performance, increased dropout rates and child suicide.
