Young People Push Leiglsature for Social Host Law

Young people from around Iowa were at the Capital today lobbying legislators for stiffer state laws on underage drinking. The Des Moines Register reports they want a social host law barring adults from letting those underage drink liquor on their property, as well as widen the state's minor-in-possession law to include consumption as well as possession. Violators of such a law would be guilty of a misdemeanor and face fines.
