Ankney based Casey's general stores said yesterday that sales of drinks and food boosted its revenues for December, 2011. For stores open at least a year, sales of prepared food were up more than 13 percent, but grocery sales were only up about seven percent. Casey's gas sales fell by about two and a half percent even though the price of gas was up about 15 cents a gallon in December 2011 over December 2010. Casey's has about 17 hundred stores under names like Casey's General store and Just Diesel.
