A state audit's found the former deputy city clerk of Melcher-Dallas deposited over $8300 in city utility payments into her own bank account as well as getting over $5600 in salary she wasn't supposed to get. Patricia Ripperger's bank notified the city's mayor about the deposits, and they were recovered by the city. KCCI reports the audit also found Ripperger approved her own time sheets which didn't match the hours paid in city records.
