State House Committee Has Compromise Commercial Prop Tax Proposal

The House Ways and Means Committee's expected to consider a compromise commercial property tax cut plan. KCCI reports the plan would cut tax rates by 40% over the next 14-years, rather than Governor's 8-years. The proposal gives small business more relief, something demanded by State Senate Democrats. It also gives all property tax payers a break by providing more money for education and tying residential property tax hikes to inflation.
