West Des Moines fire officials say an electrical malfunction was behind Sunday's fire at the Normandy Terrace Apartments. They think the problem was in a light circuit in the attic space over a stairwell. KCCI reports 25-residents were displaced by the fire. There's been no word yet on when any of the 25-people displaced will be allowed to go back to claim their belongings Early damage estimates are around $500,000.
