Girl slips on the ice, what happens next is strange

A 16-year-old Des Moines girl slipped on the ice last night as she was walking home near Southeast Ninth Street and Indianola Avenue. Rocquisha Shields-Porter told police as she tried to regain her feet a white car pulled up next to her and a man inside yelled to get out of the street. Shields-Porter told officers she instinctively threw snow at the car. That prompted a passenger to get out of the car and slap her across the face. The driver then got out of the car, grabbed the assailant and pulled him back inside the vehicle, according to police. No arrests at this point.
