Man Grabs Teen of des Moines Street

Police have no suspects yet in an incident where a 17-year-old Des Moines girl says she was dragged into a car near East 12th Street and University Avenue about 4 yesterday afternoon. According to The Des Moines Register, police say the teen was waiting for a bus when an older man with a big belly and a beard grabbed her and put her in an old red car. The vehicle had a considerable amount of junk in the back seat.
The man briefly discussed marriage, which police say she declined, then he asked her if he could drop her off at home. The girl said he could drop her off at Southridge Mall. Police said the man stopped for gas on the way to the mall and then continued on, dropping her off at the main entrance to Southridge. She called her parents. The victim says the man may suffer from some type of mental disability
