The chairman of the House Judicial Committee says a bill to allow Iowans to deny service to people whose marriages they disapprove of is dead. GOP Rep. Richard Anderson says House Study Bill 50 won't get any further consideration, but he also told several people after the committee meeting that he doesn't know if the bill will be brought back down the road in a more limited form. Anderson says there are issues that people have and we just have to continue to work on it.
