New LIbrary Saved by Early Morning Passer-By

A passer-by likely saved the construction of a new library from being destroyed by fire on Thursday. Hubbard Fire Chief Monty Boeke said a woman driving through town about 1:30 a.m. spotted the fire and called 911. Boeke said construction crews had just finished framing the new building. He believes the fire may have started in a mechanical room where crews were heating the floors. Damage to the structure is minimal. Boeke tells KCCI TV it could have been much worse had authorities not received a call right away.
