Rescue teams were busy this week

Special operations rescue teams were busy this week. During Tuesday's storm they managed to rescue 36 people and 3 dogs, and also escorted one ambulance to the hospital. The teams included Iowa National Guard soldiers who drove Humvees, Iowa Department of Transportation drivers with snowplow trucks, and Iowa State Patrol troopers in their law enforcement cars. The teams were only active during the storm, and have gone back to regular duty.
