KFC Loses Iowa Tax Fight

KFC has a check top write to the State of Iowa for $250,000 in corporate income taxes. The U.S. Supreme Court's refused to hear an appeal KFC's challenge of a state Revenue Department decision that they owe the money, on taxes from 1997 to 1999. KCCI reports none of the KFC's in Iowa are owned by the company, they're all franchises, that pay KFC for the use their logo and systems. KFC claims with no property in Iowa it didn't owe the state a dime. Iowa's courts didn't agree.
