Iowa State Panel Decisions Could Cost Cities Millions

Iowa's Property Assessment Appeal Board will make decisions in the next few weeks on whether or not to lower the assessed value of commercial properties in four of the state's biggest cities. That decision could cost Des Moines, West Des Moines, Clive and Urbandale up to $155-million combined in taxes; and Polk County and school districts in those cities could lose millions more.
