Iowa's Supreme Court will review the case of 26-year old Michael Becker. He claims he was legally insane when he shot and killed Ed Thomas, football coach at Aplington-Parkersburg high school in June 2009. A jury didn't buy it and convicted him of first degree murder in June 2010, and he was sentenced to life in prison. An appeals court upheld the conviction, rejecting arguments that the jury was improperly instructed on the insanity defense.
