The Iowa health department has been ordered by a Polk county Judge to issue a birth certificate with both lesbian parents names on it for their two year old daughter. That ruling came down yesterday and the judge said her order supports the striking down of the state's supreme court ban on same sex marriage. Heather and Melissa Gartner, who live in Des Moines, sued to have both parents names on young Mackenzie Gartner's birth certificate so she'd have two parents like most kids. The department is reviewing the ruling.
