If voters approve a bond issue for a 10th elementary school in February, Ankeny's school district will be down to 34 acres of unused land. The school board's agreed to give the city 70-acres of a 90-acre tract at NW 36th Street and NW Irvinedale Drive in exchange for road and utility work to serve the new school location. But only if voters say yes to the $16-million bond issue.
