Windsor Heights City Council's given a green light to suing Iowa DOT over its rejection of the city's request to install speed cameras on a one mile stretch of I-235 west. There are similar cameras already in place on the eastbound lanes in Des Moines near downtown. The Des Moines Register reports DOT's rejection suggested other options for safety be considered, including overhead speed displays.
