Happy Birthday

Where did the time go - the compact disc turns 30 today. The first commercial compact disc was Billy Joel's "52nd Street," and it was released in Japan. The first CD player also came out on October 1st, 1982 and even though streaming your music is the new wave CDs still account for the majority of album sales in the U.S. In the first half of 2012, 61% of all albums sold were CDs, according to the Nielsen Company and Billboard.
