STOLEN JEEP LEADS TO ARREST AND DOG BITE

A brief car chase Monday night in Pleasant Hill ended with a rollover and several men arrested on drug and theft charges.
Police said 24 year old David Negrete stole a 2002 Jeep Liberty from a woman he knew in the area. Shortly after she reported the theft, Pleasant Hill police spotted the vehicle.
The Jeep took off at high speed, and police gave chase, eventually hitting a curb and rolling over.
The only injury suffered in the crash was to a dog riding in the Jeep. When police arrived, the dog was biting one of the suspects while he tried to escape.
Negrete is being held at the Polk County Jail on $15,600 bail.
21 year old Isaiah Jackson, a passenger in the Jeep, is also being held at the Polk County Jail on $35,300 bail.
