Des Moines Fire officials say a 2500 gallon diesel fuel spill came from a backup generator on the roof of Hy-Vee Hall. Some of this mornings spill ended up in a storm sewer that emptied into the Des Moines River. KCCI reports DNR and Des Moines Hazmat are keeping tabs on it; and authorities say the spill's below the city's water supply intake from the river and poses no danger to water the supply.
