A Des Moines defense lawyer's been given a 90-day suspension by the State Supreme Court today after they found Dean Stowers violated ethics rules by threatening a Senior V.P. and a board member of the Care Initiative nursing home chain. Stowers allegedly tried to use confidential documents from a sex-harassment case involving his now ex-wife, to force the two officials to resign and make a $100,000 charitable contribution.
