A Des Moines man said he received an absentee ballot last week that had some selections already filled in, and the Polk County auditor said Sunday the case will be referred to the Polk County attorney’s office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
28 year old Daniel Cole is a first-year medical student at Des Moines University who requested an absentee ballot because he was afraid his busy school schedule would keep him from voting. However, when he received the last week, he said some selections had already been filled.
