A Keokuk man faces a murder charge for allegedly killing his mother. Police say that 23 year old Adam Pitman killed his mother, 46 year old Rosa Pitman back in August. Pittman was arrested on August 30 as police made a traffic stop in Fort Madison. That's when Pittman told police that he killed his mother almost a month earlier, and that they should go to their house in Keokuk. They did, and found her body, with an electrical cord around her neck. Pittman's arraignment is October 10. Pittman's in the Lee County Jail on a two million dollar bond.
