Lawmakers Confident on Reaching Commercial Property Tax Deal

Leaders of the legislature say they may be close to a deal to reform commercial property taxes. According to KCCI democrats, who control the senate, say they think they can come to terms with the governor and the GOP controlled house. A big hurdle will be phasing in reductions in commercial property taxes over a longer period of time. The governor says cutting those taxes is key to his economic development plan.
