Iowa City Schools Hire Teachers

Within the next two weeks, the Iowa City school district says it will hire about eight teachers to cut the size of some elementary school classes. The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports that will do the hiring by January 17, the eight will be disbursed through seven schools and they'll be considered long term subs. That way, superintendent Steve Murley says the district will have more flexibility, and can hire them right away.
