8th Grader Beaten at School

Charges could come down Wednesday after a Panora Middle School 8th grader was beaten last week. KCCI reports that eighth grade boys sometimes play a game at the school where they hit each other. Alex Kent, however -- his mother said -- was knocked to the ground and beaten to the point of a broken leg and jaw. The school did not call an ambulance, but put ice on his wounds and gave him tylenol, with his mother's permission. His sister later took Alex to the hospital. Alex now has a plate in his jaw and pins and screws in his leg.
