Forbes Magazine's ranked Des Moines No. 2 in the country on this year's Best Cities for Jobs list. According to KCCI Forbes cites the city's high household incomes and low unemployment rate. A projection says Des Moines area employment should climb 8.6%, or 36,000 jobs to 461,000 by the end of 2016. The Forbes report also noted that unlike other Midwest cities, Des Moines managed to keep its' biggest employers in downtown .
