He only meant to shoot to scare, but now court papers say Brandon Madren faces a first degree murder charge for allegedly killing Nathan Greene on February 18. Both men are from Adel, where the shooting happened. Court documents say that a shot fired from a third floor apartment is what killed Greene. Madren said that Greene at one time, tried to kick in Madren's apartment door, then stood on Madren's car in the apartment building's parking lot. Madren claimed that Greene threatened him just before Greene was shot at, but the shot hit Greene in the chest. Madren's still in jail on half a million dollars bond.
