A new poll says a majority of Iowans favor cutting commercial property taxes, even if it means less money for cities, counties and schools. The Des Moines Register poll says 28% oppose cutting commercial property tax rates. Those revenues pay for keeps libraries open, filling potholes, and keeping police cars and fire engines on the road.
