Majority of Iowans Oppose Same Sex Marriage Ban in State Constitution

A Des Moines Register Iowa Poll shows a majority of state residents oppose a state constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. 56%^ oppose the idea, 38% support it and 6% are undecided. The same sex ban doesn't get majority support in any age range, political party is a different story. 64% of republicans favor a same sex marriage ban, 35% of independents and 15% of democrats.
