A jury this afternoon convicted Loren Bishop of homicide by vehicle while under the influence. The Des Moines Register reports Bishop was charged with the death of Mary Miller after his SUV crashed into her home in January of last year, hit her, and dragged her into the front yard of her home. Polk County prosecutors say Bishop misused prescription medications the night of the crash.
