57% of Iowans think the state's gun laws are fine. A new Des Moines Register Iowa Poll also finds 26% think there should be more restrictions on gun laws, and 13% want fewer restrictions. Lawmakers are considering a number of gun bills including allowing someone to use deadly force against anyone perceived as a threat to cause injury or death. Another would ban local governments from denying the right to carry weapons in such places as city halls.
