The Southeast Polk Community School District's cut $1.9-million from their operating budget, and KCCI reports district officials say they'll trim another $1.3-million more by mid March. The board's put in place a new busing transportation fee of $180 on students in k-through-8th grade who live within two miles of their school and 9th-to-12th graders living within three miles of their school. The district expects it to raise $426,000.
