Possible Student K-2 Overdoses...
Yesterday, Three East High School students were taken to the hospital, suspected of overdosing on synthetic marijuana, commonly known as "K-2".
According to Police, they aren't sure whether the teens were smoking the synthetic marijuana. A "Blunt"--which is a hollowed out cigar used for smoking drugs--was found by police--and that has to be tested.
According to East High students that were interviewed, "K-2" is cheap--and it's easy to get. Most of them said they get it across the street, at the Oasis Market and Liquor Store. Employees at The Oasis denied selling K-2 to minors, or to anyone for that matter.
According to City Councilman Bob Mahaffy, he's working on getting the Oasis shut down and says--anyone who sells stuff like this to kids should not be doing business in Des Moines.
